Bauserman and his mount claimed the title despite finishing eighth in the second go round, more than two tenths of a second behind round winners Lance Graves and Seis So Sweet.
Graves rode VF I Am Gold N Fancy to the Sale Futurity Average win after narrowly topping Kebo Almond and Pita Perks for the win in the second go round. Darlene Moran and Briscocangetit won the 1D title in Race 2 of the NBHA Open 4D, while Todd Holder and Fame In A Tin Can streaked to a win in Race 2 of the Derby Sidepot. JR Sullivan and Jesse James Stover won the Youth Race.
