Medical Lake, Washington, veterinarian and 2017 National Finals Rodeo qualifier Kathy Grimes and KG Justiceweexpected (2007 mare, Judge Cash x Do It For Beau x Beaus Scoop Of Sun) posted a 13.750 to win the third performance and finish second in the semifinals overall for $22,545.

London Gorham’s 13.740 from the first performance Thursday night held to win the semifinals and cash in for a whopping $40,581. The 10-year-old cowgirl from Cotulla, Texas, and her horse Frenchmans Assassin (2009 gelding, Frenchmans Guy x Huggys Spitfire x With Great Ease) qualified to the performances in the last hole from the slack round Tuesday, which Grimes won with a 13.643. The top 30 from slack were then divided into three rodeo performances, from which the 10 fastest overall will head to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to face the 2017 top 10 Women’s Professional Rodeo Association barrel racers in RFD-TV’s The American Rodeo presented by Dish on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 2 p.m.
