Amberleigh Moore of Salem, Oregon, won the third round of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with a time of 13.59 aboard CP Dark Moon.
December 8, 2018 — Las Vegas, Nevada — Moore rode CP Dark Moon to victory in the third round of Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with a 13.59. “Paige” is a 9-year-old mare by Darkelly and out of SRQH New Highs by On A High and has had a solid showing in the Thomas and Mack Center arena. The duo put it all together in Round Three to pick up the win.
“Paige was really lit up tonightI had something that spooked her prior to the run, and I just used that energy and let her go with it and she ran really hard tonight and felt amazing,” Moore said.
Moore holds onto her lead in the aggregate with a time of 40.91 on three runs and moved from fifth in the world standings to third. First-time NFR qualifier Jessica Routier picked up second in the round with a time of 13.62 aboard Fiery Miss West, which puts her fifth in the aggregate with a time of 41.55 on three runs and moves her from xx in the world standings to seventh. Hailey Kinsel and DM Sissy Hayday hold onto their lead in the world standings with $249,392, as well as sit second in the aggregate with a time of 41.15 on three runs. Reigning world champion Nellie Miller and her reigning world champion partner Rafter W Minnie Reba (KS Cash N Fame x Espuela Roan x Blue Light Ike) sit in the No. 2 position in the world standings with $167,826.
