Lisa Lockhart of Oelrichs, South Dakota, won the second round of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with a time of 13.65 aboard Rosas Cantina CC.

December 7, 2018 — Las Vegas, Nevada — Lockhart rode Rosas Cantina CC to victory in the second round of Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with a 13.65. “Rosa” is an 8-year-old mare by Corona Cartel and out of Dash Ta Vanila by Dash Ta Fame and has been playing a solid part all year in helping lead Lockhart to her 12th Wrangler NFR. In Round One, the duo had a little tough luck with a hit barrel, but in Round Two they were tuned in and focused. With the round win, Lockhart moved from fourth in the world standings to third.

“We know our job, we’ve all done our homework and we just come out here everyday trying to do what we all know we need to do, and sometimes we have better luck than others getting the job done,” Lockhart said. “That was it, I knew my job and I tried so hard to make it happen, and it happened.”

Amberleigh Moore earned second place in the second round with a 13.67. The win moved Moore to the No. 1 position in the aggregate with a time of 27.32 on two runs and from 13th in the world standings to fifth. Moore rode CP Dark Moon, a 9-year-old mare by Darkelly and out of SRQH New Highs by On A High. Hailey Kinsel and DM Sissy Hayday (PC Frenchmans Hayday x Royal Sissy Irish x Royal Shake Em) hold onto their lead in the world standings with $229,065 in season earnings, as well as sit second in the aggregate with a time of 27.48 on two runs.
