Two-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier Taci Bettis and Bogie Is A Smash notched their first career go-round win in Round Eight with a 13.57.

December 13, 2018 — Las Vegas– Two-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier Taci Bettis and Bogie Is A Smash notched their first career go-round win in Round Eight with a 13.57. The Round Top, Texas, cowgirl and her big 10-year-old gelding by Bogie Biankus and out of Bogies Devine Smash by Remember Smash came in firing after downing barrels in three rounds this week.

“I actually didn’t think it was that fast, but when I turned around and looked at the time I was excited,” Bettis said. “It was actually the smoothest run I’ve had this week, so finally to turn it around and get something done is pretty amazing. It was a goal of mine this year to win a go-round, so to finally come out here and do it after struggling this week was icing on the cake for me.”

After the win, Bettis is No. 6 in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Assocation world standings with $166,577 in season earnings. She’s won $62,885 so far at the 2018 WNFR. Hailey Kinsel and DM Sissy Hayday (PC Frenchmans Hayday x Royal Sissy Irish x Royal Shake Em) hit a barrel in Round Eight but maintain their lead in the world standings with $313,046.
