2026 Cody Stampede

Accomplished trainer and barrel racer Lanita Peirce and Famous Wahini won the Cody Stampede in Cody, Wyoming over Cowboy Christmas, earning $11,308. This win added Peirce’s name to the top money earners over the Fourth of July rodeo run.

Bred and owned by Peirce’s longtime client Mary Watkins, her and “Lexi” have quite the resume, first winning big together in 2020 at the Kinder Cup Slot Race, earning $50,000. The pair made their debut at the OKC Slot Race prior to that where they ended up second for a $25,000 check and have continued winning since from incentive races like the Breeders Challenge Finale to the Senior World Championships, and now pro rodeos.
