Dona Kay Rule runs barrels for the love of a good horse. But it hasn’t been an easy ride. Today, she is fulfilling her dreams and counting her blessings.
A hit barrel in Round Four only gave Dona Kay Rule and High Valor the focus and grit they needed to enter Round Five and throw down the fastest time so far of the barrel racing at the 2019 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, a 13.56 for their second round-win of the Finals.
First-time qualifier Dona Kay Rule of Minco, Oklahoma, and High Valor topped Round Two of the Wrangler NFR barrel racing with a 13.69.
