Women’s Professional Rodeo Association World Champion Sherry Cervi has achieved many milestones in her professional career—from becoming the first barrel racer to earn $2 million on the rodeo circuit to setting a National Finals Rodeo arena record with her mare “Stingray”—and in February 2011, she will add a writer’s credit to that list when her new monthly column, “World Champion’s Perspective with Sherry Cervi,” debuts in Barrel Horse News.
The column will give readers insight into how the three-time world champion approaches the sport of barrel racing. It will also provide a unique glimpse into Cervi’s thoughtful approach to horsemanship, sportsmanship and life.
In her debut column, Cervi discusses how she deals with fear, both in and out of the arena, with a deft touch that will capture the imagination and reveal an often hidden side of one of barrel racing’s most popular and private stars.
Cervi joins Charmayne James as one of two monthly columnists for BHN.
