February 20, 2018, Fort Worth, Texas, Cowtown Coliseum — Kathy Grimes topped the ultra-tough field with an impressive time of 13.643 aboard KG Justiceweexpected, who’s by Judge Cash and out of Do It For Beau, to bank $10,441 and win a bid to the semifinals performance rounds.
“I actually found out last night [Monday, February 19] that I got to replace someone,” Grimes said. “I was feeling disappointed, I’ve been here to every single [RFD-TV’s The American Semifinals] and I didn’t quite make it this year, so I was feeling kind of disappointed and then got the call and said I wanted to make the most of this opportunity and so far it worked out pretty good.”
