In an unprecedented offering of Western performance horses, Western Bloodstock presented the Absolute Dispersal Sale of Teton Ridge Performance Horses, Monday, September 29, 2025. The sale featured some of the most recognizable and accomplished names in the industry. Among the more than 100 catalogued horses were barrel racing leaders Babe On The Chase, Tres Chasin Babe PZ and MP Jet Royal Money.
Produced by Western Bloodstock at the Teton Ridge/TR9 Ranch, Weatherford, Texas, the sale began with the $5.6 million purchase of Lot 1 and maintained its momentum, with total sales of $28,091,500 on all 116 lots, for an average of $242,168, and five lots realizing $1 million or more.
Tres Chasin Babe PZ, an EquiStat earner of more than $593,000, garnered the sale’s fifth highest price at $1 million. The 6-year-old Tres Seis daughter, out of National Finals Rodeo qualifier Babe On The Chase, was purchased by James Probst, Wallsburg, Utah. “Rosie” helped lead Tonozzi to be ranked EquiStat’s No. 5 Leading Breeder of All-Time, as Tonozzi’s highest earning as of 2024 as a breeder, and Tonozzi’s second-highest earning horse as the No. 2 ranked Leading Rider of All-Time. Rosie is also Tres Seis’ leading offspring of barrel horses, helping the $9 million sire to be ranked as the No. 7 Leading Sire of All-Time.

Babe On The Chase, also sold and went home with her breeder and rider Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi. “Birdie” was acquired by Teton Ridge in 2021, although Tonozzi continued to jockey her to more than $557,000 before she was retired as a broodmare. On Monday, Tonozzi was able to purchase Birdie at a sale price of $500,000. Birdie was herself a producing dam of more than offspring earnings in excess of $776,000 making her one of EquiStat’s All-Time Leading Dams. Birdie is also Tonozzi’s second-highest earner as a breeder helping her become the No. 5 leading breeder, and Tonozzi’s third highest earner as a leading rider.
MP Jet Royal Money, the 2010 sorrel mare by PC Frenchmans Hayday and out of Miss Meter Jet, and an EquiStat earner of more than $50,000 brought $100,000. MP Jet Royal Money is a full sibling to Sherry Cervi’s world champion mare MP Meter My Hay aka “Stingray,” who is the No. 6 Leading Horse of All-Time.

High sellers of the show were 2018 red roan stallion Third Edge, and 2017 red roan mare All Spice. Third Edge (Metallic Rebel x Lil Rattler x Dual Rey) the 2022 NCHA Open Horse of the Year brought a record $5.6 million. According to Western Bloodstock he is the highest-selling Western performance horse stallion of all time sold at public auction. All Spice (Once In A Blu Boon x Show Biz Kitty x High Brow Cat) sold at the Teton Ridge Dispersal Sale for $5 million. According to Western Bloodstock she is the highest-selling Western performance horse mare of all time sold at public auction.
