Dusky Lynn Hall and Chasin A Win topped the Wild West Promotions Cowtown Cup, unofficially breaking the arena record with a 12.767.
Hall was fresh off her third The American Rodeo appearance where Spitfire made his debut run at the prestigious event in the semifinals. Their run at the historic Cowtown Coliseum barrel race held on June 15 bested more than 200 other competitors in the Open. They also put on a show for the many international spectators in the stands visiting the United States during the FIFA Word Cup.
In typical Hall fashion, she also won the second place check aboard Tornado Lane, her futurity horse by The Goodbye Lane. They stopped the clock with a fast 12.904 to be the only two sub-13-second runs. Those times won the Futurity and Derby as well as various other side pots for a total of more than $30,000.
