Hailey Kinsel’s four-time world champion DM Sissy Hayday recognized as the 2025 Nutrena Horse of the Year, presented by the American Quarter Horse Association.
At 14 years old DM Sissy Hayday, aka “Sister” is still making headlines. The incomparable barrel horse owned, trained and ridden by Hailey Kinsel has helped lead her rider to more than $3.2 million in EquiStat lifetime earnings, and more than $2.6 million in Women’s Professional Rodeo Association earnings. Sister has led Kinsel to four WPRA world championships, three The American Rodeo championships, multiple earnings records, arena records and WPRA standard pattern records. She earned the AQHA Horse of the Year award in 2018 and finished second in 2021.

Sister, who’s by PC Frenchmans Hayday and out of the Royal Shake Em mare Royal Sissy Irish has a resume that rivals the most legendary horses in the industry. She’s earned her spot in the history books and she’s still collecting accolades. She’s earned more than $3.2 million and is the All-Time Leading Barrel Horse according to EquiStat. In the 2025 regular season of WPRA rodeos she earned more than any other horse in the WPRA’s top 15 ranks collecting $176,570 of Kinsel’s $186,317 regular season earnings placing at 20 out of the 21 rodeos entered.
