The donation was made through “Lend a Hand,” a program supported by Al Roker of NBC’s Today, whose mission is to help small charities across the country that work towards improving conditions in their communities. Eagle Mount became the second charity unveiled in the weeklong cross-county charitable tour.
Eagle Mount Therapeutic Riding Center creates therapeutic recreation opportunities for people of all ages and disabilities. Their equine program aims to enhance the lives of individuals with special needs by providing purposeful, safe and supervised interaction with horses. Today chose Eagle Mount because of their tremendous efforts in improving conditions in their community. With the donation from Ariat, they will be able to provide footwear and apparel to more than 50 riders.
“We are excited to participate in the “Lend a Hand” festivities with Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply, one of our valued retail partners, to donate footwear and apparel to such an outstanding program that makes an impact on the local community,” said Beth Cross, founder and CEO of Ariat. “We know firsthand the wonderful benefits of equestrian activities and are thrilled that Eagle Mount gives those with special needs the opportunity to experience them as well.”
