According to Associate Publisher Savannah Magoteaux, the new subscriber-based training website, TrainingBarrelHorses.com, provides in-depth video training for subscribers, with new material added weekly to cover every facet of barrel racing.

Partnering in this endeavor is 11-time Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world champion Charmayne James.
“By creating TrainingBarrelHorses.com, it’s a way to reach more people and help them and their horses with the sport of barrel racing,” James said. “Partnering with Barrel Horse News will give people the trust and assurance that this website will be done first-class and with the professionalism it has been known for. Hopefully, by providing various viewpoints from a lot of accomplished barrel racers, it will help other barrel racers to maximize their barrel racing goals.”
Said Magoteaux, “Charmayne and her husband, Tony Garritano, approached us with the idea for a training site, but with a twist. It isn’t going to be just Charmayne’s methods – we team up with other top trainers to get their ideas on the same topics. Since Barrel Horse News makes every effort to present a multitude of training techniques and tips, we thought this would be an excellent partnership.”
The first video shoot took place mid-March at the Circle T Arena in Hamilton, Texas. Joining James were multiple Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier and WPRA million dollar cowgirl Lisa Lockhart and futurity and derby phenom Ryann Pedone.
“We are excited about this project and think subscribers will be, too. It’s a way for barrel racers all over the world to get personal training from some of the world’s greatest,” Magoteaux said.
