She finished third in the state in cutting and fifth in the state in goat tying. Holman is the first girl to win both the barrel racing and pole bending titles in the same year in the CHSRA. She was awarded a horse trailer, three trophy saddles and three buckles in addition to scholarships and other awards.

This season, Holman experienced her best year of youth rodeo to date. She competes in high school rodeo all year with one goal in mind; to be the national champion. Throughout the year she competes in six events—barrel racing, pole bending, cutting, breakaway roping, goat tying and team roping. She is a past CHSRA District 6 All-Around cowgirl, pole bending champion and was ranked in the top five in all her events throughout the season. The 11th grader at Golden West High School plans to attend California Polytechnic State University following her graduation next year.

“Billie is a dedicated horsewoman and a born competitor,” says Shane Holman, Director of Footwear of Ariat International. “She brings her heart and soul and incredible passion for the sport each and every day.”
