Barrel racing champions Dena Kirkpatrick and Jackie Jatzlau will each host a free barrel racing seminar at the Elite Extravaganza, taking place Nov. 11-14 at the Heart O’ Texas Fairgrounds in Waco, Texas.
World Champion trainer Dena Kirkpatrick will demonstrate her training techniques on Friday, Nov. 12, in between the $12,000 Guaranteed Warm-up Race and the opening session of the $100,000 Guaranteed Main Race. Kirkpatrick, a Barrel Futurities of America World Champion, has trained numerous Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifying horses, including Lindsay Sears’ world champion, Sugar Moon Express, DJ Nick Bar and Fols Classy Snazzy.
National Finals Rodeo qualifier and multiple futurity champion Jackie Jatzlau will host her demonstration on Sunday morning, Nov. 14. Jatzlau qualified twice to the NFR aboard Uno Commander, an aged-event standout that she trained herself. She’s also scored aged-event wins aboard Oro Leader and Takin On The Bug. In addition, Jatzlau trained the talented Easy Dash Oak, who has been ridden to five WNFR qualifications by her sister, Tammy Fisher.
Located in the Pavilion Arena, these demonstrations/seminars are very intimate, and the audience is encouraged to ask questions throughout the presentation.
