Omaha, NE, (www.rfdtv.com) – On Monday, August 5th, well-known rodeo entertainer, Flint Rasmussen, will join Alexis Bloomer as the co-host of Western Sports Round Up on RURAL RADIO. Western Sports Round Up airs Monday-Friday at 6:00 p.m. (Eastern) exclusively on RURAL RADIO, the Agribusiness and Western Lifestyle channel, found only on SiriusXM channel 80.
Rasmussen, a native of Montana, grew up in a family of Rodeo announcers. In 1994, he left a career in teaching and joined the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) to pursue his passion for rodeo and entertainment. He has been recognized as PRCA rodeo “Clown of the Year” and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Barrelman for 8-consective years, from 1998-2005.
In addition to Western Sports Round Up, Flint is an arena entertainer for the Professional Bull Riders (PBR), having signed an exclusive contract with them in 2006. He also hosts a live stage talk show in Las Vegas during the PBR World Finals, as well as “Outside the Barrel with Flint Rasmussen” and the nightly go-round awards in the South Point Showroom during the Wrangler NFR.
