From May 20 to 30, the Wrangler National Patriot team, which includes three-time World Champion PRCA bareback rider Kaycee Feild, former Miss Rodeo America Maegan Ridley, World Champion mounted shooting horse cowgirl Annie Bianco-Ellett, country music artist Lucas Hoge, retired U.S. Marine Corps Col. John Bates, veteran Robi Powers of American300, and Jeff Chadwick of Wrangler, traveled across Alaska to meet with Coast Guard officers and offer their support and praise.
“We created the Wrangler National Patriot program in 2009 to pay homage to those veterans who lost their lives or suffered injuries fighting for our country’s safety and freedom,” said Jeff Chadwick, director of special events, rodeo and equine for Wrangler. “It’s an honor to extend our gratitude in person to the brave men and women who help protect our country, and we’re excited that we can document and share this special experience with the general public through the Wrangler Network.”
Since 2009, the Wrangler National Patriot program has visited each branch of the military – the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard. This is the first year the footage from each tour is publicly accessible through the Wrangler Network, an online and mobile destination for fans interested in western lifestyle content. To view footage from the fifth annual Wrangler® National Patriot™ Tour as well as past tours, visit the Wrangler Network at www.WranglerNetwork.com.
With the help of local rodeos across the country, professional cowboys and cowgirls, and patriotic Americans, the Wrangler National Patriot program raised more than $750,000 since 2009 – with additional funds being reported daily. Wrangler donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of all Wrangler National Patriot logo apparel to support wounded or fallen American veterans and their families.
