These dams have proven their worth as producers of barrel racing offspring with more than $300 million earned in the past five years. Here, you’ll find the top 30 5-Year Leading Dams, plus short profiles on the top five mares of the past five years. This information, was curated exclusively by EquiStat to help breeders make decisions based on the current landscape of the barrel racing industry.

1. VF Forcit First

It might be no surprise that the leading dam of the past five years is VF Forcit First, who produced Kassie Mowry’s futurity champion and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world champion Force The Goodbye. “Jarvis” is VF Forcit First’s leading offspring, having earned almost all of the $1,844,337 in offspring earnings from the mare’s two foals.

2. Royal Sissy Irish

Royal Sissy Irish holds the No. 2 position in the 5-Year Leading Dams charts with $1,786,949 from seven offspring. The lion’s share of earnings come from Hailey Kinsel’s four-time WPRA world champion DM Sissy Hayday, who has earned more than $1.7 million in the past five years. The dam’s No. 2 leading offspring is Shake The Flame, who has picked up $57,572.

3. SKS Running Faucet

SKS Running Faucet earned her position as the No. 3 dam of the past five years with the help of the standout futurity horse and The American Rodeo champion MJ Segers Fast Lane. The dam has only four performing offspring that have earned $1.7 million with MJ Segers Fast Lane being the highest earner with $1.5 million, in large part thanks to The American Rodeo win with Brandon Cullins.

4. Blazin Black Beauty

Blazin Black Beauty is the No. 4 ranked dam. She earned her position in the top ranks thanks to her offspring’s work in the pro rodeo world. The mare has six performing offspring earning $1.4 million int he past five years, with Jordon Briggs’ WPRA world champion gelding Famous Lil Jet leading the charge with $1.2 million.

5. Rods Last Ladybug

The Highpoint Performance Horses’ cornerstone mare Rods Last Ladybug is the No. 5 leading dam with $1.2 million from 20 performing offspring. Her leading offspring is HP Feel The Fame, who has earned $381,214. Campaigned by Ryann Pedone, HP Feel The Fame took the top spot as leading offspring from wins at events like the Barrel Futurities of America World Championships.
