The 2024 CINCH World Championship Junior Rodeo action started at The Lazy E Arena on July 23, with nearly 900 youth and junior rodeo athletes competing for more than $385,000 in payout.
Bella Skinner Wins WCJR Junior Barrel Racing and Junior World Titles
Bella Skinner took home both the WCJR Junior barrel racing world championship after turning in a finals round time of 17.214, and the WCJR Junior World Champion for finishing the segment atop the Junior Leaderboard of the World Champions Rodeo Alliance’s Division Youth Junior Leaderboard.
Arina Dee Haugen Crowned Youth World Champion
Arina Dee Haugen finished the year as the WCJR Youth World Champion Barrel Racer. Haugen came into the WCJR ranked in the No. 2 position on the WCRA Division Youth Leaderboard in the barrel racing.
Dusky Lynn Hall Claims WCJR Barrel Racing Title
Dusky Lynn Hall and Aint Seen Famous Yet dominated at the World Championship Junior Rodeo, and they finished the week as the event champions in the Youth barrel racing. Hall, 10, of Huntsville, Texas, came into the Championship round and turned in a time of 17.097 to win the round and ultimately claim the WCJR Barrel Racing Event Championship.
Aint Seen Famous Yet is a 10-year-old gelding by Aint Seen Nothin Yet and out of A Nasty Chick by Chicks Beduino. The talented palomino gelding started his career with Amelia McCumber. McCumber trained and rode “Wally” to more than $461,985 of his more than $580,000 in EquiStat earnings.
Hall and Adams Win Semifinals
Dusky Lynn Hall and Aint Seen Famous Yet took home yet another round win in the Semifinals. Turning in a 17.108 the duo from Huntsville, Texas, earned $750 and an advancement to the Championship round.
Aint Seen Famous Yet is a 10-year-old gelding by Aint Seen Nothin Yet and out of A Nasty Chick by Chicks Beduino. The talented palomino gelding started his career with Amelia McCumber. McCumber trained and rode “Wally” to more than $461,985 of his more than $580,000 in EquiStat earnings.

Miller and Moyer Top Round Two
Marley Miller and Merrick Moyer topped Round Two at the World Championship Junior Rodeo in their respective age divisions.
Miller and TH Pistol Pete topped the Youth division in the second round with a 17.4. The talented youth athlete has accumulated more than $13,000 in EquiStat earnings. In Round One at the WCJR, Miller finished in the top 10 with a 17.534.
Moyer from Woodward, Oklahoma, took home the win in the Junior division in Round Two with a 17.016. Moyer has earned more than $120,000 in EquiStat reported earnings. Moyer started the week off strong in Round One with a 17.332, which finished out of the money in the No. 11 position.
Moyer is currently sitting in the No. 1 position on the World Champions Rodeo Alliance Division Youth Junior Leaderboard for the DY24 Segment.

The first round of competition at the World Championship Junior Rodeo has been full of top-shelf horseflesh and standout youth athletes. Dusky Lynn Hall and Natalie Ohrt have made their mark on the field, claiming the Round One win in their respective age divisions.

Hall turned in a 17.178 aboard Aint Seen Famous Yet to top Round One in the Youth division. Hall has found much success in the barrel racing world with more than $438,000 in EquiStat reported earnings. The young athlete has qualified for The American Rodeo and won championships at big events like Breeders Challenge, Ruby Buckle and more.

CINCH World Championship Junior Rodeo Field Set
The 2024 CINCH World Championship Junior Rodeo at The Lazy E Arena is set for July 23–27, with nearly 900 youth and junior rodeo athletes competing for more than $385,000 in payout. Athletes entered at the WCJR are eligible to earn Elevated Bonus Event World Points (four-time multiplier). They will automatically be eligible to earn Event World Points without a nomination for any disciplines at the event. All WCJR point information can be found here.
According to WCRA President Bobby Mote, there are 6,900 points available. The Qualifying Rounds have 800 points available for a round win. The round champions in the Semifinals can earn up to 1,200 points and 2,700 points in the championship round.

The top 16 from each WCRA Division Youth Leaderboard earned an automatic exemption into the semifinal round. Each open-entry athlete will compete in the qualifying rounds July 25-27, with up to 16 athletes earning a position in the semifinals. The top eight from each discipline will advance to the July 27 Championship Round, where the top athlete will take home the title of WCJR Event Champion.

WCRA DY is a culmination of a leaderboard race of rodeo events worldwide. Athletes can qualify for July 2024 $200,000 Added Money World Championship Junior Rodeo at the Lazy E Arena by nominating their rodeo efforts and earning points for the WCRA DY leaderboard positions using the VRQ (Virtual Rodeo Qualifier). WCRA Rodeo’s Youth Rodeo Arm hosts a minimum of four events per year and has paid out almost $1 million to youth athletes since 2021.
