Margo Crowther and Saylors Packin Fame win the Average and Year-End titles at the Southeastern Circuit Finals in Davie, Florida on November 14-16.
Margo Crowther qualified for her first National Finals Rodeo in 2022 aboard 2012 mare Shes Packin Fame (Carrizzo x Heidis Dashing Sixes x PackinSixes). There they placed in four of the 10 rounds, earning $87,880 in Las Vegas. Now, Crowther is winning on “Sissy” progeny.
Crowther and Saylors Packin Fame, by Br Golden Leader out of Sissy, won just shy of $10,000 in Davie, Florida after placing in the first and winning the third round, the average and the year-end titles.
“My game plan was just to go out there and have a nice clean run and get in the money for my first run,” Crowther said. “The next two runs knew I had to cut some corners because of her being at the bottom of the drag, and it got kind of deep. All three of my runs were super fun and consistent.”
Crowther ran “Savvy” in all three rounds of the circuit finals, but relied on Prisonerr, a 5-year-old gelding by RR Mistakelly, also out of Sissy during the 2025 season.
“I won big with Prisonerr at the first Nashville pro rodeo,” Crowther said. “That was awesome and a big highlight. He handled that rodeo like a champwinning second. Honestly I was super tickled with the rodeo this year and my horses performances. The first four rodeos I entered him in he won. It was crazy. I ran Savvy at a few and placed and then a really cool moment was when I won the Ocala rodeo for the second year in a row and breaking the arena record two times in a row. I held the arena record with Savvy and then this year broke it on Prisonerr.”
Only running at 19 rodeos during the 2025 season, Crowther said winning the year-end title was unexpected. Now, her goal is to do well at the NFR Open in Colorado Springs, Colorado in July.
“I’ve never had real success there so that would be a good goal,” she added. “I’m enjoying the fruits of all the seeds that my husband and I have planted over a decade ago. I believe we’re all born equal—but what separates us is obsession, passion, and the willingness to outwork everyone else. When you commit with everything you’ve got, you unlock doors others can’t even imagine. That’s the philosophy I live by. I apply it to everything I do. Thanks to my husband and family and awesome sponsors!”
