Adios Pantalones made his comeback to the arena known after winning $14,420 with Tricia Aldridge in Salinas, California where they won the finals and average. Prior to this win, Aldridge had $50,065 in season earnings and was No. 20 in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world standings.
The all-time leading barrel horse stallion with more than $1 million in lifetime earnings fractured his hock at the San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo, requiring surgery and ending his winter rodeo run. He made his appearance back in the arena with Aldridge at the Reno Rodeo in Reno, Nevada at the end of June.
Michelle Alley and Lipstick N Stilletos won the first round in Salinas with a 16.00. Aldridge and “adios” split fifth place with Hayle Gibson-Stillwell and Buncha Dinero, both running a 16.27 for $1,377 each.
Gibson-Stillwell and “Piper” won the second and third rounds with a 15.91 and 15.97, respectively. Aldridge and “Adios” placed third in the second round with a 15.97, earning $2,296. There were seventh in the third round with a 16.18 for $918.
In the Finals, the duo topped the leaderboard with a 15.98 for a $3,401 check and won the average with a time of 64,40 on four runs for another $6,428.
