Just Like Magic 

Julie Murphy and Technicolour Magic stood out among the field at the seventh annual Senior World Championship in Texarkana, Arkansas. 

The seventh annual Senior World Championship Barrel Race in Texarkana, Arkansas, is always a favorite for barrel racers 50 years old or older. This year, drawing more than 1,000 entries competitors battled for more than $97,000 in payout and prizes. 

Julie Murphy and Technicolour Magic took home top honors as the 1D Senior World Champion from a short round time of 14.355. She also topped the 2D on Friday aboard Extra Epic with a 14.838, worth $847. Riding multiple horses during the Senior World Championship Barrel Race Murphy ultimately banked $4,976.

Autumn Lucas and Hesa Spanish Ninja turned in a 14.866 to earn $1,807 and the 2D Senior World Championship. Chris Cox and MT Moonlight turned in a 15.387 to take home the 3D title and $1,445. Jacqueline Board and JenSen banked $1,084 for their 4D championship from a time of 15.860. Holy Bake and Bogie N Daisy Dukes won $723 for their time of 16.387 and 5D win. 

Debbie Bloxom and Shake The Flame topped Thursday’s Senior Race with a 14.301, worth $1,015. They followed that with another first-place paycheck on Sunday with a 14.301, wroth $830. The duo also ultimately finished third in the short round with a 14.463 to earn an additional $1,369.

Tandy Meyers and Streakin Dusty Light (CS Flashlight x Streak Of Dusty x A Streak Of Fling) topped Friday’s Senior Race with a 14.335 worth $1,016, and they finished sixth in the short round for an additional $913 form a 14.517.
