Kelsie Miller turns the second barrel

Mother-daughter duo Kelsie and Skye Miller dominate at Sanctuary Barrel Races High Cascades Futurity in Redmond, Oregon. 

Together, Kelsie and Skye Miller earned $46,390 at the Sanctuary Barrel Races High Cascades Futurity. The mother-daughter duo rode multiple horses and cashed in numerous checks, but when it was all said and done they topped the field for championship and reserve championship honors. 

Kelsie took home the Futurity title with an aggregate time of 30.72 aboard SP Haydays Choice (PC Frenchmans Hayday x Smign x A Regal Choice), worth $1,740. They also topped the first round of the futurity with a 15.068 and finished second in the second round with a 15.652. In the second round Kelsie also finished third aboard SR Schill B Epic (Epic Leader x Insane For Fame x Dash Ta Fame) with a 15.671, and fifth in the average with a 32.002. She followed her daughter in second place in the Slot Race with a 15.412, worth $4,455, and topped the field in the Open aggregate. 

Kelsie Miller took home multiple wins and paychecks enroute to the high-money earner honor at the High Cascades Futurity. Skye followed her mother as the Futurity reserve champion with a 31.483 aboard KG Shock N Awe (Feel The Sting x KG Justiceweexpected x Judge Cash), worth $1,462. They also finished second in round one with a 15.614 and sixth in round two with a 15.869. Skye also topped the field in the Slot Race with a 15.233 aboard DMR Im Kinda Special (Ima Special Kindaguy x A Short Night x Short Oak), worth $5,445. 

Skye Miller followed her mother as the Futurity reserve champion with a 31.483 aboard KG Shock N Awe (Feel The Sting x KG Justiceweexpected x Judge Cash), worth $1,462. She also topped the field in the Slot Race with a 15.233 aboard DMR Im Kinda Special (Ima Special Kindaguy x A Short Night x Short Oak), worth $5,445. Skye also earned a fourth-place paycheck in round two aboard Plain Blazin Fame (Blazin Jetolena x Plain Jane Fame x Dash Ta Fame) with a 15.766. Skye also earned paychecks in the derby. With an average time of 31.445 Skye finished fourth in the derby average aboard Bessie Coleman (Eddie Stinson x Adalena Moon Jet x The Reign Master), eighth in round one with a 15.782 and sixth in round two with a 15.663. Aboard DMR Im Kinda Special she finished second in the first round with a 15.586. 

Both Kelsie and Sky also earned multiple paychecks in the Open to bring their weekend total to $46,390.
