I have a mare that I’m training that had a rough start to life. She is kind of touchy and is just hard to ride. She has plenty of rate, all I have to do is sit and she will turn. I don’t want to emphasize more rate if I don’t have to nor do I want her to turn on top of me when I get to the point of running her. She is very cowy and just doesn’t want to bring her hip around like the horse in the video. However, whenever I take it slower, at a trot, she won’t bow out at all. What should I do to help her out?
