Katelyn Scott and 2015 gelding Justa DTF Frenchman dominate the Turquoise Circuit Finals in Cave Creek, Arizona, October 31-November 1, winning the Average and the Year-End title.
After finishing the 2025 pro rodeo season strong—claiming the No. 15 position in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world standings and qualifying to her first National Finals Rodeo—Katelyn Scott was excited to be home for a few weeks to prepare for the Turquoise Circuit Finals, which she won last year.
“Coming off the summer run where you don’t get to work your horses as much, I was excited about being home a few weeks to ride him out and work on being soft. But really I did a lot of petting too,” Scott said with a laugh.
Scott and her standout gelding Justa DTF Frenchman (Aint Seen Nothin Yet x Madeline Spade 410 x Justa Hickory Spade) found their groove together over the summer, earning $61,888 of Scott’s season earnings and was her highest earning mount. In October, Scott and “Peanut” won both Friday and Saturday’s open races at the Elder Dodge Shootout Mock NFR race for more than $5,000. Then they headed to Cave Creek, Arizona.
“Our people in the Turquoise Circuit work really hard on the payout and awards so Peanut Seed was my first choice,” Scott said.
The pair won all three rounds of the circuit finals to also claim tha average title and year-end title, a total of $9,886 in earnings.
“I’ve never been that consistent in my life, my horse was super consistent and honest,” she added. “I just let him do his thing.”
Scott plans for Peanut Seed to be on the trailer to Vegas in December.
“Thank you to the circuit committee, they worked hard and I’m sure they had their fair share of challenges being in a new place, but they did a wonderful job,” she concluded.
