2025 UNOFFICIAL WPRA Top 15

The 2025 Women’s Professional Rodeo Association’s pro rodeo season was a race to the finish boasting exciting runs and record-setting finishes. Unofficially, the WPRA’s top 15 barrel racers have been decided.

During the last weekend of the season several of the WPRA’s top 20 athletes made their trip to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for the CINCH Playoffs Governor’s Cup, where the event paid out more than $1.4 million. With that much money on the line it held the capacity to alter the WPRA barrel racing world standings, and the ladies of the WPRA were out in full force to take advantage of the opportunity.With the addition of the Governor’s Cup in the pro rodeo schedule, it’s made the last weekend of the regular season even more exciting than in years past.

As the last weekend of the season concluded, several made last minute advancements in the WPRA world standings. Most notably was Halyn Lide moving from No. 17 into an NFR qualifying position of No. 9 after winning the Governor’s Cup championship, worth $32,000.

Katelyn Scott, also made the most of her last weekend of rodeo. Scott was sitting in the No. 13 position, however she did not earn a qualification to the Governor’s Cup, which meant she needed to make the most out of the other rodeos on the schedule. She picked up multiple paychecks at several rodeos, and ultimately was (unofficially) able to hang onto a top 15 position with $129,011 in world standings.

Another barrel racer making big moves in the standings, although not on the bubble, but getting her closer to a world title striking position was Megan McLeod-Sprague. Sprague was sitting No. 8 with $138,130.25. Aboard her 2025 San Antonio Rodeo champion Seis Coronoa, Sprague earned a total of $36,844 at the Governor’s Cup and unofficially moved into the No. 5 position.
