Powerhouse quartet of Sherry Cervi, Lisa Lockhart, Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi and Hailey Kinsel to elevate TEAM:TR


TETONIA, IDAHO—December 1, 2021—As western culture brand Teton Ridge continues to blaze trails in preserving and elevating America’s western way of life and classic western sports, the dedicated entity announced in December that dynamic barrel racing champions Sherry Cervi, Lisa Lockhart, Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi and Hailey Kinsel will join TEAM:TR. 

The skilled quartet of barrel racing athletes will add to the already robust TEAM:TR collection of champion athletes and ambassadors that spans multiple disciplines in the western space. Earlier this year, Teton Ridge welcomed extraordinary talent in the reining and reined cow horse disciplines when announcing accomplished horsemen Andrea Fappani, Corey Cushing and Todd Bergen as the inaugural representatives of TEAM:TR.

Recognized as one of the top competitors in barrel racing and possessing four world titles, Sherry Cervi’s professional career has spanned just under 30 years and resulted in an industry-leading nearly $3.5 million in earnings.

Rocketing onto the rodeo leaderboards early in her career, she collected her first Women’s Professional Rodeo Association Reserve World Champion title in 1994. From there, Cervi’s list of astounding accolades has included being a 19-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier, clinching an impressive four world titles (1995, 1999, 2010, 2013), winning the WNFR average title three different times and being a 13-time qualifier for the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo.

Whether competing in the arena or working with her horses, the Marana, Arizona, cowgirl attributes her success to hard work and a laser-like focus.

Showcasing that same resounding focus on success, Lisa Lockhart of Oelrichs, South Dakota, began riding horses at the mere age of 6 and has made her mark on the western sports world ever since.

Beginning her professional barrel racing career in 1993 when she joined the WPRA, the accomplished athlete has to date earned more than $2.8 million in the arena.

Lockhart has qualified for the WNFR 15 times over the years. Additionally, she is a two-time WPRA Reserve World Champion, two-time WNFR average champion, four-time Canadian champion, 2019 RNCFR Champion and has won the richest single-day rodeo in the world, The American, twice thus far in her still exceptionally prosperous career.

Her consistency in finishing among the top five in the world standings year after year, along with her knowledge, athleticism and extreme equine prowess make Lockhart a perfect addition to TEAM:TR.

A native Texan, Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi learned the intricacies of running barrels from her father at a very young age and has showcased the same passion and dedication every moment since.  

Splashing onto the rodeo scene soon after becoming the barrel racing champion of both the Texas High School Rodeo Finals and National High School Rodeo Association in 2002, Pozzi secured the title of 2003 College Southern Region champion during her time at Texas A&M University. Soon after, she won the 2003 WPRA Rookie of the Year title for barrels and became the first-ever Rookie in the WPRA standings to qualify for the WNFR, finishing seventh in the world. 

The Lampasas, Texas, resident is no stranger to topping the leaderboard in all she does. The two-time WPRA World Champion (2007, 2009) has collected many accolades over the years as a 15-time WNFR qualifier, two-time WNFR average champion, two-time RNCFR champion and much more.

With career earnings topping $2.6 million, Pozzi strives for excellence each time she rides into an arena.

Fellow Texan Hailey Kinsel has sought the same level of distinction since her professional rodeo debut in 2015. As one of the most talked-about young athletes over the past decade, her superior athletic ability is equally matched by her knowledge and exquisite display of horsemanship.

Sitting in the No. 1 spot in the world standings as 2021 rolls to a close, Kinsel and famed equine partner DM Sissy Hayday have genuinely set a new bar in rodeo for the barrel racing community. With more than $2.3 million in career earnings, Kinsel has qualified for the WNFR five times, holds three world titles (2018, 2019, 2020), was the 2020 WNFR average champion and has won The American a record three times.

Known for her dedication and drive both in the arena and out, Kinsel spends her time when not competing training her horses—a passion she shares with her mother, Leslie Kinsel.

Teton Ridge will further expand TEAM:TR to feature additional disciplines, including top-caliber professionals in the cutting industry, roughstock disciplines and more.
