The 2025 San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo kicked off February 6, at the Frost Bank Center arena in San Antonio, Texas. The rodeo is one of the major winter stops for Women’s Professional Rodeo Association members set to payout a lucrative $1.5 million in total purse. The tournament-style format will run through February 22, and includes 19 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo performances where contestants compete back-to-back in each Bracket. The top four money earners advance to a Semifinal Round and the top five out of each Semifinal advance to the Finals. The most money earned at the end of the Finals will be crowned the San Antonio Rodeo Champion.

San Antonio Rodeo Bracket One
The barrel racing action at the San Antonio Rodeo has been top-shelf. Jackie Ganter kicked off the event in the Bracket One Round One with a 14.11, worth $2,626. Alyssa Urbanek-Wade took the win in the second round with a 13.89, and Tillar King topped the third round with a 14.08. All three, plus Paige Jones, who finished second in Round One and third in Round Two, will advance to the Semifinals.
San Antonio Bracket Two
Bracket Two of the San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo kicked off with Lindsey McCuiston topping the first round with a time of 14.02. Rookie of the Year Oceane Veilleux took home the next two round wins with a 14.02 in Bracket Two Round Two and a 14.08 in Round Three for combined earnings of $5,252 earning her a spot to the Semifinals. Abby Phillips finished third in Round One, second in Round Two and third in Round Three for combined earnings of $5,253 and a spot in the Semifinals. McCuiston and Kim Schulze also earned spots to the Semifinals, rounding out the top four to advance from Bracket Two.
San Antonio Bracket Three
Wenda Johnson, Katelyn Scott, Jymmy Kay Cox and Shelley Morgan all earned a spot to the Semifinals from Bracket Three. Johnson topped the first round, finished third in the second round and second in the third round. Scott turned in the second-fastest time of Bracket Three, with a 13.96 to win the second round. She also finished second in the first orund, and fourth in the third round. Cox stayed solid in her bracket to advance with a fourth-place finish in the second round and a third-place finish in the third round. Morgan earned her qualification thanks to the third round win from a time of 13.91 — the fastest time of Bracket Three.

San Antonio Bracket Four
Sophie Palmore, Chloe Gray, Andrea Busby and Halyn Lide all earned berths to the Semfinals from Bracket Four. Busby topped the first round of Bracket Four with a 13.89. The 2024 National Finals Rodeo Average Champion, followed that with a second-place finish in the second round for combined earnings of $4,727. Palmore took home the second round win and the fastest time of the rodeo thus far with a 13.80. She also picked up fourth place in Round One and earned another round win in Round Three. Gray earned paychecks in each round of Bracket Four for combined earnings of $4,728 and an advancement to the Semifinals. NFR qualifier Lide, rounded out the top four of the bracket with $3,151 in earnings from paychecks in Rounds Two and Three.
San Antonio Bracket Five
The fastest round of barrel racing thus far, was seen in Bracket Five with Megan McLeod-Sprague and Seis Corona (Dash Ta Fame x Tell Em Belle x Tres Seis) turning in a 13.70 for the round win. Sprague and “Jagger” continued that winning streak in the second round with a 13.88 to take the win as well. WPRA world champion Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi took home the third round win in the bracket with a time of 14.28 seconds.
Bracket Five concluded with Tonozzi, McLeod-Sprague, Kassie Mowry and Carlee Otero advancing to the Semifinals.

Semifinals and Wildcard
The Semifinals at the San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo was another fast round with Urbanek-Wade topping the first set with a 13.85 and McLeod-Sprague taking the second set with a 13.83. From the first set of semifinals competitors Urbanek-Wade, Wenda Johnson, Oceane Veilleux and Chloe Gray all advanced to the finals. From the second set McLeod-Sprague, Tonozzi, Katelyn Scott, Abby Phillips and Sophie Palmore all earned a qualification to the finals. The Wildcard round was topped by Jymmy Kay Cox with a time of 13.80.
San Antonio Rodeo Finals
Megan McLeod-Sprague and Seis Corona couldn’t be stopped at this year’s San Antonio Rodeo. The duo turned in the fastest time of the rodeo, plus ultimately claimed the championship with another impressive sub-14 second run. McLeod-Sprague and “Jagger” turned in a 13.74 in the finals round to claim the San Antonio Rodeo barrel racing championship.
