The National Barrel Horse Association awarded its Florida State champions June 12-16.

The 2024 Florida State Championship held at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida, June 12-16 was a history maker. With a total payout of $173,897, 586 Open entries, 308 Youth, and 111 Seniors it was truly a show for the record books. It was a show of family, tradition and transition as testified to by its champions.
Open 1D: Kristen Hanchey and Smooth Way Ta Heaven took home the Florida Open 1D State Championship.
Open 2D: Rylee Elliott Howell took home the Florida NBHA 2D championship aboard VF Coup De Grace, who’s partly owned by Jennifer McGraw.
Open 3D: Jenna Marquette and 11-year-old mare HA This Ones Hot won the Open 3D championship after years of work gaining trust and confidence together.
Open 4D: Ada Evans, 14, and 4-year-old Dolly Deck Donit earned the Open 4D state championship.
Senior 1D: Jodi Jansen and her 15-year-old gelding Firewateronthemoon have earned the open reserve wins in 2016, 2021 and 2023. This year the duo found redemption by taking home the Senior 1D championship.
Senior 2D: Kim Gray has owned 18-year-old Grays Runaway Dream since she was a yearling. This year the duo took home the Senior 2D championship.
Senior 3D: Melissa McKay and LA County Judge took home the Senior 3D championship.
Senior 4D: Dellrie Humphrey and 20-year-old grade gelding Baller, took home the Senior 4D title.
Youth 1D: Kaylee McGraw, 15, and BHR Frenchies Socks, bred and raised by Crystal Schumate and Derek Piel, earned the 2024 Florida NBHA Youth 1D championship.
Youth 2D: Kaycee Raye Hanchey and A Prime Design earned the Youth 2D title.
Youth 3D: Alyvia Dennison and Hero Got Perks took home the Youth 3D championship.
Youth 4D: Sean Miller and Nine Fifty Five claimed the Youth 4D championship.
