Brett Monroe Wins Round One at NBHA Open and Senior World Championships
OCTOBER 28, 2025 — (PERRY, GEORGIA) — Round One of the NBHA Open World Championships kicked off Monday, October 27. Pressley Green and Sissys Slick Design (Slick By Design x Sissys Little Coin x Packin Sixes) took the lead early in the round with a 14.680. Aboard “Slick” Green took home her career-second NBHA Teen 1D World Championship earlier this year giving the duo plenty of momentum to claim titles in Perry.
Following Green’s run, Brett Monroe and Felice Seis took over the lead in Round One, and ultimately held onto it for the remainder of the round. They turned in a 14.572 to win Round One and add $3,855 to their NBHA Open World earnings thus far. That time also carried over to win the Senior Round One for another $810.
Felice Seis is a 2019 bay mare owned by Jason and Leslie Willis, bred by Tracy and Marlie Trask, and is sired by Tres Seis. Felice Seis is out of the Sun Frost mare PC Decadent Frost. The mare was started by Willis and the two earned more than $140,000 prior to Willis being injured in a horse accident in June of this year. Monroe has stepped up to campaign the talented mare taking her to events like the Pink Buckle and now they are gunning down a world title at the NBHA Open World.
Green and Slick finished second in the 1D for a $3,480 paycheck.
Taylor Carver Wins Round Two at NBHA Open & Senior World Championships
Taylor Carver and Miss Rare Perks turned in a 14.589 to top Round Two of the NBHA Open & Senior World Championships, worth $3,855.
Carver and the homebred 2017 bay mare also picked up $1,057 in the first round of the Open from a seventh-place finish with a time of 14.858. Plus, they finished sixth in the Sweepstakes with a 143.815 for $934.
Miss Rare Perks is by Rare N Famous and out of Swingin Perks by Dash For Perks.
The Broxton, Georgia barrel racer has been jockeying multiple mounts at the NBHA Open World including Bling Smooth Girl (Blings Smooth Guy x Violations Secret x Lika Movin Violation), finishing sixth in the Open Round One with a 14.821, for $1,542, and 12th in the 1D of the Sweepstakes from a 15.078 for $300. With DP Lil French Socks (BHR Frenchies Socks x Alibis Lil Sis x Spanish Boot), Carver also topped the 3D in the Sweepstakes with a 15.587 for $1,848. She finished sixth in the 4D of the Sweepstakes with Carrizzosfrosttafame (Carrizzo x Cisco Goldie x PC Cisco Frost) with a 16.104 for $611. Aboard VF Famous Cowgirl (Born Ta Be Famous x Ill Come A Runnin x Royal Shake Em) she finished 15th in the 1D of Open Round Two with a 14.917 for another $374.
Brett Monroe Wins Senior World Championship
OCTOBER 31, 2025, (PERRY, GEORGIA) — Brett Monroe has had a fairytale NBHA Open & Senior World Championships aboard Leslie Willis’ Felice Seis. Monroe and “Feliche” took home the NBHA Senior World Championship with a finals round time of 14.691, worth $1,888.

Monroe and Feliche kicked off the NBHA Open & Senior World with the Sweepstakes win. They followed that with the Open and Senior Round One wins. All totaled Monroe and Feliche have earned $9,089 in Perry with the Open finals still ahead for them taking place Saturday, November 1.
Sabra O’Quinn and Slicks Lil Amigo Win NBHA Open World Championship
The NBHA Open & Senior World Championships was one for the record books setting a payout record for the event. For Sabra O’Quinn it was equally memorable as she took home her career-second NBHA Open World Championship.
O’Quinn earned her first NBHA Open World title in 2015 aboard Bring It On Guys. O’Quinn is one of EquiStat’s All-Time Leading riders with more than $1.3 million in lifetime earnings. On Saturday, in Perry, Georgia, she added to her career earnings.
In Round One, O’Quinn and Slicks Lil Amigo (Slick By Design x Bough Chicka Wowwow x Bully Bullion) turned in a 14.866 to finish ninth and earn $859 and qualified for the NBHA Open World finals. She opted not to run in Round Two, saving her mount for the finals run having already earned an advancement. In the finals she topped the field with a 14.586 earning the NBHA Open World Championship and $7,152.
“It’s emotional, it’s rewarding,” O’Quinn said. “There’s great horses all over the country, great riders a lot of people here are my friends, so I just want the best person to win and sometimes it’s your day and sometimes it’s not. It was his (Slicks Lil Amigo) day.”
O’Quinn has been with O’Quinn since he was a 3-year-old training him for longtime friends Deanna Mixon-Pietsch before purchasing him herself in 2021. Slicks Lil Amgio is sire Slick By Design’s leading offspring with more than $389,000.
“He’s special,” O’Quinn said.
