OCTOBER 26, 2025 — (PERRY, GEORGIA) — The NBHA Open and Senior World Championships kicked off Sunday with the Super Senior race. The 550-limited run featured $500-added for contestants qualified for the NBHA Open and Senior World Championships to kick off the week. Wakefield and Makin Me Famous have been partners for about five years, since she purchased him as a 3-year-old from trainer Morgan Anderson. He was started by Anderson and this year helped Wakefield take home the Super Senior win at Wakefield’s first NBHA Open World appearance.

“He’s always willing and he’s got his own mind. He’s just a good boy — most of the time,” Wakefield said with a laugh. “I was just wanting a nice, smooth, clean run maybe with a little speed.”

Wakefied and the 8-year-old gelding, who’s by the Dash Ta Fame son Fames Greater Glory and out of Little Brown Hare by Hot Dee James, took home $582 for the Super Senior win, and put them in a prime position to continue the week strong at the NBHA Open World.
