Adios Pantalones surpasses stallion Slick By Design’s earnings record and becomes the all-time leading stallion in barrel racing earnings.
After impressive wins in Logandale, Nevada, Oakdale, California and Lakeside, California, Tricia Aldridge moves to No. 5 in the 2025 Women’s Professional Rodeo Association World Standings. Unofficially, her main mount Adios Pantalones has also claimed the all-time earnings record for a stallion in barrel racing, which was previously held by Highpoint Performance Horses’ Slick By Design with $618,639 in EquiStat reported lifetime earnings. It should be noted that as of April 30, EquiStat data reports “Adios” having earned $577,392, however that total excludes several high-paying races and pro rodeos. As producers continue to submit event and rodeo results to EquiStat that number will continue to climb. According to Aldridge’s calculations the 5-year-old stallion’s earnings currently sit at $629,219 after her successful 2025 spring season.

Adios was bred by Leslie Bailey of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and trained by owner Aldridge to a record-breaking futurity year, breaking Hello Stella’s all-time futurity earnings record in 2024.
He was the No. 3 top earning horse in all divisions and rodeos in the 2024 Barrel Horse News EquiStat leaders review with $473,019, behind 2024 The American Rodeo Champion MJ Segers Fast Lane and 2024 WPRA World Champion Force The Goodbye.
Of the top three stallions with barrel racing earnings, two are still competing. Adios and Latricia Duke’s DM High Roller, who has $600,871 in EquiStat reported lifetime earnings as of April 30, have hit the rodeo road for 2025. “Vanila Wafer” made his first appearance at the National Finals Rodeo in 2024, earning $72,264.
Slick By Design made three appearances at the NFR with Michelle McLeod (2013, 2015-2016) and one with Stevi Hillman (2018).
After Adios and Aldridge’s more than $15,000 month in the west, they are set up for a successful rodeo run this summer with a qualification to the Calgary Stampede in July.
