All For Adios: Tricia Aldridge and Adios Pantalones Win Round Eight of the Wrangler NFR

LAS VEGAS — DECEMBER 11, 2025 — First-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier Tricia Aldridge riding all-time leading barrel racing stallion Adios Pantalones win Round Eight of the NFR with a 13.64, for $36,668. Barrel racing fans have come to love “Adios” and Aldridge’s partnership and their success inside the Thomas and Mack has been no surprise to fans — for Aldridge, it’s simply “all for him.”

“I just want it for him,” Aldridge said. “I’m really thankful to be here and the opportunity and the people that I’ve met. I want to be an advocate for positive change. I want to be able to use my platform to bring awareness to the sport, and I really feel like with Adios, we’ve brought a lot of new fans over to [the rodeo industry], which has been awesome. At the end of the day, I wanted him to show what I knew he could always do. So to get here and have him do just that, is incredible.”

Together, Aldridge and Adios set a new futurity earnings record, a new stallion performance earnings record and qualified for the NFR in his first full year of pro rodeo competition as a first-year derby horse. Adios won all of Aldridge’s money save one check that she won aboard Kissin Goodby (“Ember”), whom she futuritied last year as well.

Aldridge and Adios made their bid for the go-round win at draw No. 12 and turned in a 13.64 for the go-round win, which is their second of this year’s NFR. As a first-year qualifier Aldridge is looking like a veteran and Adios equally impressive handling the setup and the ground inside the Thomas and Mack. Aldridge might be a rookie to the Thomas and Mack, but she’s handling it like any other run they’ve made together.

“I have grown as a trainer. I have tried to evolve,” Aldridge said. “I really worked with him on that train-on-the-tracks and making sure that if it wasn’t going exactly how I needed, he always got me back on track. He’s just so dang honest. I think all those things that I really worked on as a futurity horse, to be able to place in an average has really made a difference coming in to this kind of setup where I need to make a lot of runs. I mean, I did catch barrel this week, but barely. I was just so proud of him for working.

“This pattern is so small that you really don’t have time to think,” Aldridge said. “It’s just important to focus on fundamentals a little bit and then just make sure you get to your spot. So literally, all I’m trying to do is just focus on keeping him in my hands a little bit in the alley, because he was just getting so strong in there. Then just make sure I have my shoulders square and in the right spot for the second and third. You don’t have a lot of time to think, so, by the time you’re thinking about it, you’re already behind.”
